If you had been here

Then when Mary was come where Jesus was and saw him, she fell down at his feet saying to him 'Lord, if thou has been here my brother had not died'
Jesus said unto her 'Said I not unto thee if thou wouldest believe,  thou shouldest see the glory of God? John 11:32,40
Jesus could have gone to heal Lazarus immediately they told him he was sick but he waited till he was dead before setting out.
Now the Pharisees and Saducees will have nothing to mock about the miracles of Jesus. Lazarus was completely dead and even buried so it was impossible for them to say 'oh maybe he wasn't really sick'
Testimony is sweetest when the case becomes impossible with man as it will be glaring for all eyes to see that your turn around is by the finger of God
That was why Jesus said to Mary, Lazarus sister 'all you need do is believe me, as you will see God come through for you.
It's easy to have faith when all is going according to plan but when we are severely tested, will we still trust Him  and say ' I know my redeemer liveth and he will do what he promised to do'
I know my redeemer liveth and He will do what he promised me. What about you?

Do you know who you are?

But he turned and rebuked them and said 'Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. Luke 9:55
Jesus was the one rebuking his disciples here, why? They wanted to call down fire like Elias to consume some people who they said was casting out devils in Jesus name yet those people were not one of the disciples.
Jesus had to rebuke them that he didn't come to destroy lives but to save then he further went to tell the disciples about the tremendous power dwelling in them they were not aware of for if they were they would be more careful.
My point here is believers don't really know or understand what power resides inside of them. They know they are washed in the blood, saved by grace but what about what the scriptures says in  Rom 8:11, 'But if the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. That is powerful!
You are not just your physical body, you have power loaded in the inside of you.
Jesus rose from the dead in great power, that same power dwells in you, yes you! and this was why Jesus had to say to his disciples 'be careful to call down fire' because fire will fall.
Beloved, if you are a child of God, on the outside you might not look different from your next door neighbour but on the inside you are carrying tremendous power, you are a walking miracle. That is who you are!

Created for worship

Every creature of God was put here on earth to praise and worship God. Revelations 4:11 says God is worthy to receive glory, honour and power, why? For He created ALL things for His pleasure.
Have you ever wondered why the birds sing everyday? They are fulfilling purpose. They were created to praise God. The trees cannot sing but they bow in reverence to God. Isaiah 55:12 says the trees clap their hands, how? When the wind blows you can hear a rustling of the trees.
What about you and I? We are also God's creature, his handiwork, created even better than animals and trees to praise because we were created in his image.
Often times, the main reason why human beings struggle to praise is because of the worries of this life which was why Jesus said to us in Matthew 6:26-30 that the birds of the air and the lilies in the field don't have to bother about feeding because God will take care of them and God has been taking care of them for centuries and He will continue to do so, how much more we created like Himself?
So then leave the cares and worries to Jesus, let Jesus take over the worries and  you do your own bit which is to praise and worship Him for He is God.

Did He hear my prayer?

Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church and let them pray over him anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord and THE PRAYER OF FAITH shall heal the sick and the Lord shall raise him up and if he have committed sins they shall be forgiven him. James 5:14-15.
Now did you notice the holy scriptures said 'the prayer of faith' which means there can be a prayer not of faith!
What then is a prayer of faith? It is praying what God had already done in the spirit into physical manifestation.
For example when you pray for the sick and you pray in faith, you are simply saying I believe what 1Peter2:24 says that 'Who is own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree that we being dead to sins should live unto righteousness and by whose stripes ye were healed. Allelluia!
This verse of the scriptures tells us we have been healed already because of what Christ did on the cross. He had paid the price for our sicknesses and diseases. He is not going to pay another price so when you understand this revelation,  then if you are sick in your body or you are praying for someone who is sick in their body, you pray and thank God for the healing Christ had already purchased for you or them, you place your faith in what he had done and receive your healing by faith and if you truly believe that by his stripes you were healed then there will be a corresponding action.
When Jesus healed in the bible, the people got up immediately,  Peter's mother in law got up and ministered to them after Jesus healed her fever in Matt 8:14-15. In Mark 2, the man sick of the palsy who was let down through the roof by his friends got up immediately after Jesus healed him.
The lame man in Acts 3 at the beautiful gate healed by Peter and John got up and leapt immediately he was healed.
None of them said 'oh but I can't walk, they acted out what they believed, that's faith in action.
Quite a number of people just pray without really having faith in God, it will not produce the result you desire. God's word are governed by laws.
Heb 11:6 says without faith it is impossible to please God for he that cometh to God must believe that He is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
Many come to God in prayer and believe He is God but struggle in the area of whether he will answer them, bible says he rewards you when you seek him!
God doesn't pick when he answers your prayers, he is a constant God, it's impossible for him to change, he is bound by his words.
Come to him in faith, believe he heard you and let your actions show you truly believed.

All God wants from you!

Come now therefore and I will send thee unto Pharaoh that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. Exodus 3:10.
God was speaking to Moses here and in verse 11, Moses replied God and said 'Who am I that I should go before Pharaoh?
Moses knew who Pharaoh was so how can ordinary him go and face Pharaoh? Pharaoh was an earthly king, very powerful indeed, he knew Pharaoh had chariots of horses prepared and ready for war, he controlled a nation no one could topple over. Pharaoh's word was final, if he asked for someone to be executed that was it. Moses had lived in the palace with him so he knew Pharaoh well. He knew too much about Pharaoh to his detriment!
He probably didn't know much about God as he had been brought up in an Egyptian household though he knew he was an Israelite so when God appeared to him in Exodus 3:6, before God told him what he wanted him to do, He first introduced himself to Moses. Why? God knew that human being rely heavily on their senses, what they can see, hear, feel or taste. He knew Moses knows everything about Pharaoh and to remove that image from his mind He had to tell or remind Moses who He was. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob! The God of his fathers! In other words, a covenant keeping God! A God that keeps his words,  a God that doesn't change, a mighty God but was that sufficient for Moses? No! as Moses was still petrified at the thought of facing Pharaoh, he not only considered the fact that Pharaoh was powerful, he also kept looking at his timid self. How could he a stammerer go face a king?
In all these, he never for once considered that he had a mighty God. All he thought of was how to go face a powerful earthly king, not for once thinking of the heavenly king who can unseat any earthly king.
Does this sound familiar?  When we are faced with mountain of problems, what is the first image that creeps up onto our mind?
Is it that of your heavenly God who is always on your side or of the problem you can see? Do you keep playing over in your mind what the doctor said, that letter you received, that humanly impossible situation you are living with?
Now it is interesting to note that in verse 8, God already said to Moses that He God was come down to deliver the people so he only needed Moses to trust him that He God will do as he said.
All God need from you is to trust what he said to you. You don't need a big faith to believe his word. Jesus said if ye have faith as a mustard seed in Luke17:6, a mustard seed is very tiny friends and you can exercise that little faith you have. You can today say bodly 'I choose to believe what God said above what I can see for very shortly as God drowned Pharaoh in the red sea with all his chariots and he became history, all the threatening situations I see shall surely become history in my life in Jesus name.

I need a miracle

The sons of the prophet cried to Elisha and said 'Alas master, for it was borrowed' in 2Kings 6:5. What was borrowed?  It was an axe to cut down wood for their use. Now an axe head is a heavy metal which will ordinarily sink in water according to human or natural laws and that was exactly what happened in this scenario, it fell into water and sank and because they had borrowed it, they knew the implications of losing what wasn't theirs and because there was nothing they could do within their power, they cried to the man of God for help.
Elisha turned a hopeless situation into a miracle! A miracle is simply the suspension of human or natural laws. God works miracles! He is the Almighty. When He arrives on the scene, he is able to suspend natural laws for you so that you can receive the miracle you need. For example in Matthew 14, Jesus walked on water and Peter did too. Naturally no one can walk on water, but because Jesus said to Peter 'Come' he was able to walk on water too.
Each one of us will face similar situations in this life where we will need a miracle. A seemingly impossible situation where even you know that except a supernatural power intervenes, there can be no way out.
I decree to you in the name that is above every name, that miracle you need is yours today. Receive it in Jesus name for he is a miracle working God.
All the people that needed a miracle in the bible and received it took their eyes away from the problem and focused on the miracle worker, you need to do likewise too.

It's not the seed!

He got up very early in the morning. It's time to go sow the seeds, he knew quite well that if he doesn't sow now, there will be nothing to harvest. He had previously prepared the ground by removing the weeds, he had digged up the earth and he  ensured the earth was watered so he started to sow the seeds into the already prepared ground. Nine months came quickly and the corn was ready to harvest! with joy in his heart, he plucked the ears of corn and called his neighbour to help him as there was a lot to carry. His neighbour said to him 'I have watched your harvest every year and it is bigger than mine, what are you doing well that I am not doing? I also plant good seeds like you! He looked at him and said ' What type of ground are you planting in as the seed is not the problem, you have said it is a good seed. Do you prepare the earth in advance to receive the seed? do you remove the weeds as they will compete for the nutrients? is the earth a fertile or rocky one where a good seed cannot germinate? This was what Jesus tried to explain in the parable of the sower in Matthew 13. The seed is God's word, always constant, always fruitful because it has life in it, the problem is not the word, it is the heart listening to the word. Jesus said the word is choked in some heart by thorns (worries, anxiety, cares of this life) so that it can't produce,  in some heart the word is stolen by the devil because you don't even understand the word and how can you understand when your mind is all over the place with the issues of this life. However, Jesus mentioned the heart that is fruitful, it is the heart that is prepared to receive the word, meditate on it and do what it says. which is yours?

Words of wisdom

I ask you God to let me have two things before I die, keep me from lying and let me neither be rich or poor. So give me only as much food as I need. If I have more, I might say that I do not need you. But if I am poor I might steal and bring more disgrace on my God. Proverbs 30:7-9(GNB). Words of wisdom worthy of meditation

Unique You!

You made all the delicate inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvellous, how well I know it. You saw me before I was born, everyday of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me O God. Psalms 139:13-14, 16-17(NLT)

David wrote this to let us know that you are so unique and special to God, so how can God take his time to map out all these details about you and you think He doesn't care about you or has forgotten you. He knows you! He knows everything about you, your needs, your desires, the questions you are asking, your fears, those burdens you have, the uncertainties and the anxieties.

Everyday of your life is recorded in His book and He will come through for you and abundantly supply all your needs.
